Get to Know Dr. Kaisha
Dr. Kaisha Heemskerk is the founder of Waukee Dental and a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Her goal has always been simple: to make every patient feel comfortable and at home while providing exceptional dental care. She founded Waukee Dental in March 2017 and has been building that vision ever since.
Dr. Kaisha is originally from Spirit Lake, Iowa. Her passion for dentistry was sparked while attending the University of Northern Colorado, where she played basketball for the UNC Bears and earned All-Big Sky Conference and All-Academic honors. (Fun fact: she scored her 1,000th career point in her final game for the Bears.) She returned to Iowa to attend dental school at the University of Iowa, graduating in 2016. She enjoys being a leader in the dental community and remains committed to staying on the cutting edge of dental treatment.

In her spare time, Dr. Kaisha enjoys spending time with her husband, Brent, son, Harry, and their dog, Kemba. The Heemskerks enjoy traveling, watching basketball, and spending time with friends and family.
