Even if you’re not sure it qualifies as an emergency, we’d rather talk to you and come up with a plan than have you tough it out. What Counts As A Emergency Visit
If you’re in pain or something doesn’t feel right, it’s worth a call. You don’t need to decide on your own whether it’s serious enough—that’s what we’re here for. Common dental emergencies we treat include:

When should I call Waukee Dental versus going into the emergency room?
Call Waukee Dental for tooth pain, chipped or broken teeth, a knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, or localized swelling. Go to the emergency room or call 911 for severe or rapidly spreading facial or neck swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, or serious facial trauma. Once urgent medical needs are addressed, contact us for follow-up care.
If I call after hours or over the weekend, will I be seen?
Our on-call Waukee Dental provider will gather information about your symptoms and evaluate the urgency of your situation. Based on your individual needs, they will determine whether you should be seen over the weekend, schedule an appointment during regular business hours, or seek immediate medical care.
