Meet The Team at Waukee Dental

Almedina has been a valued member of the Waukee Dental team for three years and serves as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA). Originally from Bosnia, Almedina completed her dental assisting education at DMACC and was drawn to dentistry because she saw an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives. She believes that a smile can change the way someone feels about themselves, and being part of that transformation is incredibly rewarding.

One of Almedina's favorite parts of working at Waukee Dental is building relationships with patients and helping them feel comfortable during their visits. She loves knowing that she can make someone's day a little brighter while providing excellent care. Dina also brings plenty of laughter to the office and enjoys sharing jokes and lighthearted pranks with her coworkers. Above all, she strives to make every patient feel comfortable, cared for, and supported throughout their dental experience.

Outside the office, Almedina enjoys shopping at Target, spending time with her daughter and taking her Cockapoo to the park. She loves exploring new parts of the Waukee and Des Moines area and discovering new restaurants, especially when there's pasta involved. She's also a self-proclaimed coffee addict and rarely says no to a Target trip. When she's dreaming about her next vacation, Europe is at the top of her list.

Amanda has been a valued member of the Waukee Dental team since 2019 and is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. A graduate of Kirkwood Community College's Dental Hygiene program, Amanda was drawn to dentistry because she enjoys building relationships with people while making a positive impact on their overall health.

One of Amanda's favorite parts of being a dental hygienist is getting to know her patients and helping them feel comfortable and confident during their visits. She believes every appointment is an opportunity to educate, encourage, and provide personalized care that supports long-term oral health.

Originally from Des Moines, Amanda enjoys spending her free time riding bikes with her kids, traveling whenever she gets the chance, and making memories with family and friends. She and her husband, Scott, stay busy keeping up with their two children and love taking advantage of everything the Waukee and Des Moines area has to offer.

Amanda joined the Waukee Dental team in October 2024 as our Scheduling Coordinator and is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident from the very first interaction. A Des Moines native, Amanda attended DMACC Ankeny and was inspired to work in dentistry because she wanted to help people better understand their treatment options, overcome dental anxiety, and leave feeling proud of their smiles.

One of Amanda's favorite parts of her role is taking the time to answer patients' questions and help them understand their treatment recommendations. She believes that clear communication and a welcoming smile can make all the difference, and she enjoys helping patients feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way. Whether she's scheduling appointments or helping coordinate care, Amanda is committed to making each patient's experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.

When she's away from the office, Amanda enjoys spending time outdoors. You'll often find her walking her Belgian Malinois, Ruger, kayaking on the river, or exploring nature. She also loves Italian food, a caramel frappe, and dreams of returning to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone for another adventure. One fun fact about Amanda is that she enjoys the peacefulness of country living on her acreage, where she can spend plenty of time outside with Ruger.

Ashleigh joined the Waukee Dental team in July 2022 as our Insurance Coordinator and is passionate about helping patients confidently navigate the insurance side of their dental care. Originally from Kansas, she understands that dental insurance can often feel overwhelming, and she enjoys helping patients better understand their benefits so they can make informed decisions about their oral health.

One of Ashleigh's favorite parts of her role is learning something new every day and building meaningful relationships with the patients she serves. She loves being part of a team that is committed to making each patient's experience as smooth and stress-free as possible. Whether she's answering insurance questions, explaining benefits, or assisting behind the scenes, Ashleigh strives to provide friendly, knowledgeable support every step of the way.

Outside the office, Ashleigh enjoys spending time with her husband, Robert, and their two cats, Cat and Kitty. In her free time, you'll often find her crafting, trying new restaurants, tending to her garden, or relaxing with a good mystery novel. She's also appreciates the simple joys of discovering new hobbies and making memories with family and friends.

Angie has been helping patients smile with confidence at Waukee Dental since 2018. Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, she earned her dental hygiene education from DMACC and has always known she wanted a career in dentistry. Inspired by her own dentist at a young age, Angie chose a profession where she could make a meaningful difference in the lives of others through education and compassionate care.

One of Angie's favorite parts of being a dental hygienist is building lasting relationships with her patients. She enjoys helping people understand how to care for their smiles and believes that education is one of the most powerful tools for achieving lifelong oral health. Her gentle approach and genuine interest in each patient's well-being help create a comfortable, positive experience at every visit.

Outside the office, Angie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, relaxing with a delicious cup of coffee or trying to find her favorite vacation spot.  She also has a lovable dog named Charlie who keeps life entertaining. Friends and patients alike describe Angie as detail-oriented, reliable, and compassionate—qualities she brings to every patient interaction.

Cassie joined the Waukee Dental team in 2026 and is excited to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles in a welcoming environment. Originally from Ankeny, Iowa, she earned her dental hygiene degree from Indian Hills Community College. Cassie was drawn to dentistry because it gave her the opportunity to help others while building meaningful, lasting relationships with her patients.

One of Cassie's favorite parts of being a dental hygienist is helping patients improve their oral health and seeing them leave each appointment with a healthier smile. She enjoys getting to know each person who sits in her chair and believes that compassionate care, patient education, and genuine relationships are the foundation of a positive dental experience. Cassie especially appreciates the warm, supportive culture at Waukee Dental and loves being part of a team that makes both patients and teammates feel welcome.

Outside the office, Cassie enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible. Whether she's walking, playing pickleball, relaxing with a great book, or spending time with family and friends, she loves making the most of Iowa's beautiful seasons. She's also a fan of Mexican cuisine, enjoys vacationing in Florida, and can often be found sipping on a Shirley Temple or a refreshing Alani Nu drink. While she doesn't have any pets just yet, she's looking forward to welcoming one into her family in the future.

Cassie recently graduated from dental hygiene school and is excited to continue expanding her knowledge and growing throughout her career. She looks forward to welcoming you to Waukee Dental and helping you feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in your smile for years to come

Collette joined the Waukee Dental team in 2025 and is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles they can be proud of. Originally from Albia, Iowa, she earned her dental hygiene degree from Indian Hills Community College. Inspired by the simple belief that "teeth are cool," Collette found a career that perfectly blends science, education, and meaningful relationships with patients.

One of Collette's favorite parts of being a dental hygienist is educating patients and building lasting relationships. She enjoys helping people understand their oral health and loves seeing the confidence that comes from a healthy smile. At Waukee Dental, she's especially grateful to work alongside such a supportive team and believes that compassionate care and patient education go hand in hand.

Outside the office, Collette enjoys curling up with a good book, taking walks, exploring new restaurants, and checking out local coffee shops in search of her next favorite latte. When she's not trying a new brown sugar latte, you might find her planning a trip back to Cozumel, enjoying sushi, or celebrating her favorite holiday—St. Patrick's Day! She is the youngest of three siblings and loves spending time with her dog, Ruby Sue.

Outside the office, Jordyn enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting lost in a good book, and dreaming about her next beach vacation. She's always happy to recommend her favorite meal at P.F. Chang's, never says no to an iced Raspberry Truffle Macchiato from 7 Brew, and proudly considers herself a Diet Coke fan. As she continues her education in dental hygiene, she's excited to expand her knowledge and continue growing within the dental profession.

Karlie joined Waukee Dental in 2025 and is passionate about creating positive dental experiences for every patient she meets. After completing her dental assisting education at Indian Hills Community College, she knew she had found a career where she could combine her love for helping others with hands-on patient care.

Katie has been a valued member of the Waukee Dental team for five years and serves as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. Originally from Marshalltown, Iowa, Katie received her dental assisting education at Marshalltown Community College and has been working in dentistry for 13 years. Her love of going to the dentist as a child inspired her to pursue a career where she could work in healthcare while helping create positive experiences for others.

One of Katie's favorite parts of her role is finding ways to make each day run as smoothly as possible. She enjoys developing new systems, staying organized, and especially loves the creative side of dentistry through lab work and designing crowns and appliances. Most importantly, Katie strives to create an environment where patients feel comfortable, heard, and at ease. She believes everyone deserves to feel supported during their dental experience.

Outside the office, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, Drew, and their three children, Addison, Tyson, and Casen. Family time is her favorite way to spend a day off, whether they're heading to the pool, visiting playgrounds, or going out for a family meal. Katie also enjoys golfing and cheering on her daughter—after playing softball herself for 12 years, she now loves getting to coach her daughter. At home, her family stays busy with 13 chickens and their dog, Tuff!

Kimmie joined the Waukee Dental team in 2025 and loves being part of a profession where she can make a positive difference in people's lives every day. Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, she completed her dental assisting training through Aspire Dental/Impact Training. Inspired by her own experiences as a patient from a young age, Kimmie found a career that allows her to combine compassionate care with continuous learning.

One of Kimmie's favorite parts of being a dental assistant is that no two days are ever the same. She enjoys the variety her role brings, learning new skills, and working alongside an incredible team that supports one another. Most of all, she loves helping patients feel at ease and seeing the confidence that comes from improving their smiles. Creating a comfortable, welcoming experience for every patient is what motivates her each day.

Outside the office, Kimmie enjoys bowling, spending time outdoors, and discovering new restaurants and foods. She's always up for trying something new, whether it's exploring a local favorite like Izumi or planning her next trip to sunny San Diego. At home, she loves spending time with her boyfriend, their young daughter, and their Boston Terrier/French Bulldog mix, Judo. If you stop by with a caramel macchiato, matcha, or even just a bottle of water, you'll probably make her day!

Lindsay is a dedicated member of the Waukee Dental team and serves as our Office Manager. With a passion for helping both patients and team members, she loves being part of an office where people genuinely care about one another and about providing an exceptional patient experience. Lindsay was drawn to dentistry because she wanted to make a difference in people's lives while helping them feel confident in their smiles and comfortable in their care.

One of Lindsay's favorite parts of working at Waukee Dental is helping patients find a way to receive the treatment they want and need. She especially enjoys seeing patients leave the office with renewed confidence after feeling cared for and supported throughout their visit. She believes that exceptional dentistry goes beyond the clinical care—it is also about listening, building trust, finding solutions, and making every patient feel valued.

When she's away from the office, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her husband, Eric, newfypoo, CC and friends, traveling, exploring new places. She loves checking out new restaurants and local spots with friends and enjoys relaxing with one of her favorite shows, Gilmore Girls. Described by three words—loyal, compassionate, and determined—Lindsay brings those same qualities to her work each day.

Meaghan has been a valued member of the Waukee Dental team for five years and serves an expanded functions dental assistant. Originally from Florida, she began her career after attending Dental Assistant Training School for MATES in Florida. Inspired by her grandfather, who was a dentist, Meaghan has dedicated more than 21 years to the dental profession and brings a wealth of experience and leadership to our team.

One of Meaghan's favorite parts of her role is working alongside such a supportive team and helping create an exceptional experience for every patient. She enjoys the variety each day brings, especially working behind the scenes in the lab and supporting the clinical team. Above all, Meaghan loves helping patients feel comfortable in the dental chair and watching their confidence grow as they overcome dental anxiety and enjoy caring for their smiles.

When she's not at the office, Meaghan loves spending time with her husband, and their children. She enjoys traveling to new places, and spending time with her two Labrador Retrievers, Gracie and Cole, along with her black cat, James. If you're looking for restaurant recommendations, she'll likely suggest Izumi for sushi, and you'll often find her with a Dr Pepper in hand.

Morgan joined the Waukee Dental team in 2025 as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and has loved building relationships with patients from day one. Originally from Marshalltown, Iowa, she completed her dental assisting education at Marshalltown Community College. Morgan's passion for dentistry began at an early age—she genuinely loved going to the dentist as a child—and she's thrilled to now help create those same positive experiences for others.

One of Morgan's favorite aspects of her role is the variety each day brings. She enjoys continually learning new technology, working alongside her positive and supportive teammates, and getting to know the patients she cares for. Above all, Morgan finds the greatest reward in helping ease dental anxiety and watching patients leave their appointments feeling more comfortable, confident, and proud of their smiles.

Outside the office, Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband, Hunter, and their boxer, Remi. Whether she's crafting, gathering with family, or planning her next adventure, she loves making the most of her time away from the office. A beach vacation is always at the top of her travel list, and she's already visited 20 states with a goal of exploring all 50 one day. If you stop by with a latte or suggestions for great Mexican restaurants, you'll be speaking her language!
